I have always had a fondness towards creative venues; whether it be through writing, art or song. But I find a deep fascination with anime/manga styled artwork and try to fuse the two contrasting characteristics of American and Japanese comics to achieve my own personalized style.

The free time outside my career as a software programmer is usually spent in front of my sketchbook, tablet or buried in an art study book — trying to learn all I can about the delicate process of bringing the images of my mind’s eye to life.

Some of her hobbies include:
drawing manga-stylized pinup models, drawing manga, graphic design, writing/reading fiction stories, costumes and stage makeup (working with leather, foam latex prosthetics, fiberglass, etc.), long nature walks, wrestling with her dogs, chasing her irritating cat, working in the garden, researching philosophy, learning more about Japan and it’s culture/history, playing Playstation till 2am with her husband, visiting coffee shops, drinking teas, making vlogs that nobody watches, watching Kansas University Basketball/Football and watching Pro Football, going to the hobby stores and laughing at the geeks — then crying cause she realizes she’s one of them, playing World of Warcraft, long country drives in her PT Cruiser named “Patty”, visiting bookstores, collecting preserved butterflies, trying new alcoholic beverages, regretting she tries new alcoholic beverages, living life as an insomniac, and listening to NPR
